Italy summons Russian envoy over transfer of Ariston's Russian subsidiary to Gazprom

ROME (AA) - Italy on Saturday summoned the Russian envoy after Moscow announced that it was temporarily transferring a subsidiary of Italian heating firm Ariston Thermo Group to the state energy giant Gazprom.

“Our government demands clarification on the nationalization of the Ariston Thermo Group. We are also working with Germany and Brussels,” Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on X.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to transfer the management of factories owned by European producers to Gazprom.

Accordingly, the management of the assets of Italian Ariston and German Bosch in the country was temporarily transferred to JSC Gazprom Household Systems, which belongs to the Gazprom group.
