1 killed in Israeli airstrike on car in eastern Lebanon

BEIRUT (AA) - One person was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in eastern Lebanon on Saturday, state media reported.

The drone targeted a white Rapid car in the town of Chaat in Baalbek, resulting in the casualty, Lebanon’s National News Agency said, without providing further details.

Since the war in Gaza began last October, there have been daily exchanges of fire, and thousands of civilians have been displaced on both sides of the shared border. A recent flare up in escalation has led to fears of an all-out war between the two sides.
