JERUSALEM (AA) - At least 10 Israelis, including nine soldiers, were injured Tuesday when two anti-tank missiles struck western Galilee in northern Israel, according to Israeli Army Radio.
The injuries occurred when the missiles hit a church in the village of Iqrit, it said, and one soldier was in serious condition.
A military statement said Israeli fighter jets carried out airstrikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon in retaliation for the attack.
No reports were yet available about casualties.
Tension has flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid intermittent exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
The border tension comes amid an Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
