ISTANBUL (AA) - At least 10 Palestinians, including children, were killed and several others injured in fresh Israeli strikes in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, local media reported.
According to the official news agency WAFA, the Israeli army targeted a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians inside a school-turned-shelter in Khan Younis, killing 10 people and injuring others.
Among the victims are children, the agency said.
The Israeli army also fired at homes in the Qizan al-Najjar area in southern Khan Younis and northeastern areas of Gaza City, WAFA added.
The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 54,500 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war crimes against civilians in the enclave.
