GAZA, Palestine (AA) - The Palestine Red Crescent Society announced that it had received 118 aid trucks on Sunday and Monday through the Rafah border crossing, bringing the total number of trucks that entered the Gaza Strip since Oct. 21 to 569.

The society said in a statement viewed by Anadolu that “Palestine Red Crescent teams received on Sunday 25 trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent loaded with humanitarian aid through the Rafah crossing.”

In a later statement, they confirmed that they received 93 aid trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent on Monday via the Rafah crossing.

They said the trucks contained “food, water, relief assistance, medical supplies and medications, while fuel has not been allowed to enter as of now.”

“The number of trucks received since Oct. 21 amounts to 569, roughly equivalent to about 33 trucks per day,” it noted.

On Oct. 21, the first relief convoy entered Gaza consisting of 20 trucks that were mostly carrying medical and food supplies following 13 days of a strict Israeli blockade on the Strip and the shelling of the Rafah crossing.
