JERUSALEM (AA) - Some 14 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon toward Israel's northern areas on Wednesday morning, according to Israeli media.
Israeli Channel 12 news reported that 14 rockets were fired on the Kiryat Shmona town, causing damage to a building, with no injuries.
Rocket sirens were activated in Israel's northern areas near the Lebanese borders, it added.
On Tuesday, the Israeli army confirmed a Hezbollah attack on the Israeli Meron air control base, in northern Israel, with dozens of rockets, in response to what the group said was an Israeli attack on the city of Baalbek, eastern Lebanon.
Tension has flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid an intermittent exchange of fire between Israeli forces and the Lebanese group Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
The border tension came amid an ongoing Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip launched after a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
