LONDON (AA) - A new photo book by Beatles icon Paul McCartney, 1964: Eyes Of The Storm, hit the shelves on Tuesday, offering hundreds of never-before-seen images, including intimate moments with his three former bandmates.
The book provides a rare up-close lens at the months towards the end of 1963 and beginning of 1964 when Beatlemania – the wild fanatical frenzy surrounding the English rock band – took off in the UK.
1964: Eyes Of The Storm boast 275 photographs shot in Liverpool, where the Fab Four were all born and got their start, as well as London, Paris, New York, Washington, D.C., and Miami – where they spearheaded the British Invasion of the US – along with McCartney's reflections.
Fans will also be able to see many previously unreleased portraits of McCartney’s friend and frequent songwriting partner John Lennon as well as George Harrison and drummer Ringo Starr.
McCartney announced the new project in January, saying: "Anyone who rediscovers a personal relic or family treasure is instantly flooded with memories and emotions, which then trigger associations buried in the haze of time."
