2 more Hezbollah fighters killed as tension on Israeli-Lebanese border soars
Tension escalates following Saturday’s missile attack on Israel-occupied Golan Heights that killed 12 people

BEIRUT (AA) – Lebanese group Hezbollah said Monday that two more fighters had been killed in cross-border clashes with Israel amid fears of a full-blown war between the two sides.
Hezbollah did not provide details about the circumstances of their death, saying only they were killed “on the road to Jerusalem,” in reference to Hezbollah’s fight in support of Palestinian resistance groups facing a devastating Israeli onslaught in the Gaza Strip.
Tension has escalated between Hezbollah and Israel following a missile attack on the Druze town of Majdal Shams in Israel-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday.
While Israel blamed Hezbollah for the attack, which killed 12 people and injured 40 others, the Lebanese group has denied any responsibility.
Monday’s fatalities brought Hezbollah fighters killed in cross-border clashes with Israel to 386 since Oct. 8, 2023, according to an Anadolu tally.
The escalation between the two sides comes against the backdrop of a deadly Israeli onslaught on Gaza, which has killed more than 39,300 people since last October, following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
