2 more Hezbollah members killed in clashes with Israeli forces near Lebanon border

123 Hezbollah members killed since start of clashes with Israeli forces on Oct. 8

BEIRUT (AA) – Lebanese group Hezbollah said on Saturday that two of its members were killed in clashes with Israeli forces near the Lebanon-Israel border.

Hezbollah issued several statements regarding clashes with Israeli forces, including one in which Hezbollah confirmed the deaths of Hasan Abdunnabi Tileys and Ali Hussain Harb.

The group, however, did not provide any information about the circumstances surrounding the deaths of its two members.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had carried out an attack on "Hezbollah targets" in Lebanon.

The Israeli army attacked several Hezbollah targets between midnight and Saturday morning, including operational infrastructure and a military compound, the Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a statement.

The Israeli army also “attacked with artillery in Lebanese territory,” he added.

Earlier on Friday, Hezbollah said it carried out repeated attacks on Israeli military targets along the country’s southern border.

The Israeli army announced that one of its soldiers was killed and another was seriously injured as a result of Hezbollah's attacks.

At least 123 Hezbollah members have been killed since the outbreak of clashes with the Israeli forces on Oct. 8.

Meanwhile, 26 Lebanese civilians, five Israeli civilians, and seven Israeli soldiers were also killed in the clashes.

Tensions have flared along the Lebanese-Israeli border amid intermittent exchanges of fire between the Lebanese group Hezbollah and Israeli forces in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.

The border tension came amid an Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.
