2 PKK terrorists killed northeastern Turkey
Terrorists captured with their guns, Agri governor says
By Orhan Gungor
AGRI, Turkey (AA) - Two terrorists were killed in an operation against the PKK terrorist organization in Turkey's northeastern Agri province, the governor said Thursday.
This morning two terrorists were killed in Dogubeyazit district, and their guns were seized, Musa Isin said.
The governor added that Agri had been free of terror for the past one and a half years, and "any future attempts would end in death just like what happened today in Dogubeyazit".
He also said the PKK had been "used by external powers for the past 32 years to incriminate Kurdish people just like Daesh and Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) are being used to incriminate Muslims".
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU. More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since it resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
FETO, led by U.S.-based Fetullah Gulen, is accused of orchestrating the July 15 coup attempt to overthrow the elected government in Turkey. The bid left 249 people martyred and around 2,200 wounded.
