20 FETO, 10 PKK terror suspects nabbed in Greece
There were allegedly 'former police officers, politicians, academics and journalists' among FETO, PKK members

ATHENS (AA) - At least 20 Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and 10 PKK terrorists have been held as they attempted to cross into Italy from a Greek peninsula, according to Greece’s local media on Thursday.
Sixty-five irregular migrants, including the FETO and PKK members, were identified on a fishing boat in Katakolo Port, in the northwest of the Peloponnese, local media reported.
It is claimed that some of the FETO members introduced themselves as “Gulenists” to the Greek authorities and said that they were “former police officers”.
Allegedly, there were “former politicians, academics and journalists” among the PKK members.
The group of irregular migrants included Afghan and Iraqi nationals, according to local media.
An investigation has been launched into the incident, it added.
FETO and its US-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, in which 251 people were martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
Turkey accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
