GAZA (AA) – At least 27 Palestinians were killed and many others injured in Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks across various parts of the Gaza Strip on Thursday.

The figures were reported in a daily update released by Mahmoud Basal, a spokesman for the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza, and a medical source.

In northern Gaza, 11 Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to the Hamouda family in Beit Lahia, according to the statement.

Additionally, several Palestinians were injured in another airstrike targeting the Qasim family home in the Al-Shaimaa area of Beit Lahia.

The statement also reported one Palestinian killed in an airstrike on a house belonging to the Salman family in the Tel Al-Zaatar area of Jabalia refugee camp.

An Israeli drone targeted a group of citizens in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City, killing one and injuring others.

Israeli artillery continued shelling areas in the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Sabra neighborhoods in the southern part of Gaza City, the statement added.

In central Gaza, Basal confirmed that six Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on a house belonging to the Debki family in Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

An airstrike on the Jadili family's home in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp injured several Palestinians, and others were wounded in an Israeli strike on a warehouse east of Al-Nuseirat.

In southern Gaza, the statement reported that five Palestinians killed and others injured in an airstrike on the Abu Shabab family home in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis.

A medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis informed Anadolu that the bodies of three Palestinians, including a child, were brought to the hospital after being killed in an airstrike on a gathering in the town of Abasan.

The Civil Defense spokesperson did not disclose the total number or severity of injuries transported to Gaza hospitals.

The Israeli onslaught has resulted in over 40,200 Palestinian deaths, mostly women and children, and nearly 93,000 injuries, according to local health authorities.

An ongoing Israeli blockade of Gaza has led to severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, leaving much of the region in ruins.
