32 killed in 2 major Indian road accidents

ANKARA (AA) – At least 32 people were killed and many others injured in two major road accidents in India, according to officials.

On Monday morning, at least 17 people were killed in a road accident in southern Telengana state, state-run Doordarshan reported.

It said a speeding lorry lost control and collided with a transport bus on the national highway.

The incident took place in the state’s Ranga Reddy district, according to officials.

State’s Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to undertake necessary relief measures, the chief minister’s office said on US social media company X.

On Sunday evening, at least 15 people were killed in an accident in the northwestern state of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan Minister Madan Dilawar, who confirmed the death toll, said three more were injured and efforts are underway to ensure that all the injured recover sooner.
