5 killed after gunman opens fire at nursing home in Croatia

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - An armed assailant on Monday opened fire at a nursing home in Daruvar city of Croatia, killing at least five people including his mother, local media reported.

According to the media reports, five people died immediately, while several others are still receiving medical treatment.

One person remains in critical condition, reports said.

The suspect initially fled the scene, but the police later caught him in a cafe.

The investigation is ongoing for the motives behind the attack.
