2 blasts destroy police station in Swat, rescuers trying to pull out survivors from debris, says state media

ISTANBUL (AA) – At least eight policemen have been killed and 57 more wounded in a bomb attack in Pakistan’s Swat valley, local media reported on Monday.
The attack happened at around 8.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT) at a police station in Swat, which lies in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to a report by daily Dawn.
State-run Radio Pakistan said two blasts occurred at a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police station in Swat.
It said the “intensity destroyed the entire building” and rescuers are trying to pull out people from the debris.
Shafiullah Gandapur, a police official, told Dawn that it was a suicide attack.
