ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments around the world.

The US is "not working" to prevent Ukraine from developing its own long-range capacity to strike targets outside of its borders, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said Tuesday.

Asked by reporters whether the Biden administration is attempting to curtail Ukraine from developing its own long-range strike capability in the wake of strikes deep inside Russian territory which Kyiv has not formally claimed responsibility for, Austin said: "The short answer is no. Absolutely not."

Meanwhile, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said mass strikes on Ukraine's military infrastructure continue.

Speaking at a meeting with military chiefs in Moscow, Shoygu said the Russian armed forces use high-precision, long-range weapons to hit the military command system, enterprises of the military-industrial complex and related facilities, aiming "to crush the military potential of Ukraine."

Türkiye’s foreign minister called on Greece to abide by international law, adding otherwise, Ankara "will do what is necessary."

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Romanian counterpart Bogdan Aurescu in the capital Ankara, Cavusoglu said: "Either Greece takes a step back and abides by agreements, or we will do what is necessary," referring to the violation of the demilitarized status of eastern Aegean islands near the Turkish coast.
