ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments on the coronavirus pandemic and other news in Turkey and around the world.

- Coronavirus and other developments in Turkey

Turkey has administered more than 117.57 million coronavirus vaccine doses since launching a mass immunization campaign in January, according to official figures.

More than 55.66 million people have received their first dose, while over 49.27 million are fully vaccinated, said the Health Ministry.

The ministry also reported 27,824 new cases, while as many as 187 additional patients died from the disease in the past 24 hours.

Turkish officials commemorate Azerbaijan's first anniversary of the Karabakh war victory.

Eight Iraqi nationals were deported from Turkey after their arrest in an operation against the Daesh terrorist group, also known as ISIS.

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Turkey's central Konya province.

More than 7.28 billion coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered worldwide, according to Our World in Data, a tracking website affiliated with Oxford University.

German authorities have started to implement stricter measures against COVID-19 amid an alarming rise in new infections.

New rules entered into force in Belgium that oblige students to wear facial masks in schools in the Wallonia and Flanders regions as part of measures against the coronavirus.

Greece recorded 7,335 new COVID-19 infections in the past 24 hours, marking the highest single-day tally since the beginning of the pandemic.

Azerbaijan celebrated Victory Day on the first anniversary of the liberation of Shusha, which played a crucial role in the fate of the Second Karabakh War, also known as the Patriotic War, leading to the defeat of Armenian forces.
