ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments on the coronavirus pandemic and other news in Turkey and around the world.
- Coronavirus and other developments in Turkey
Turkey has administered more than 96.8 million coronavirus vaccine doses since launching a mass immunization campaign in January, according to official figures.
More than 49.4 million people have received their first dose, while over 38.1 million are fully vaccinated, said the Health Ministry.
The ministry also reported 20,033 new cases, while as many as 278 additional patients died from the disease in the past 24 hours.
Turkish security forces neutralized at least seven PKK/KCK terrorists in northern Iraq.
Turkey defeated the Netherlands in straight sets in a bronze-medal match in the CEV Women's EuroVolley tournament.
Three people, including two suspected members of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkey, were nabbed in northwestern Turkey while trying to escape to Greece.

More than 5.44 billion coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered worldwide, according to Our World in Data, a tracking website affiliated with Oxford University.
Countries in Latin America have reported new infections and fatalities.
African countries recorded 25,477 new infections in the past 24 hours, bringing the total caseload there to 7.87 million.

Iran slammed the Joe Biden administration for pursuing what it calls the "failed path" of the previous US administration against Tehran, one day after Washington slapped sanctions on four Iranians for an alleged plot to kidnap a journalist.
The largest money exchange market in cash-strapped Afghanistan opened for the first time since the Taliban seized control of Kabul on Aug. 15.
