Serdar Karagoz meets Türkiye's Ambassador to Japan Korkut Gungen

President and CEO of Anadolu Serdar Karagoz met with Türkiye's Ambassador to Japan Korkut Gungen on Thursday.
He was in the Japanese capital Tokyo to attend the 52nd Executive Board Meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), organized by Kyodo news agency.
During the meeting, Karagoz received an update on relations between Ankara and Tokyo. He expressed hope for further improvement in bilateral ties, emphasizing the significance of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
Karagoz also provided insights into Anadolu's global news operations, focusing on the news agency's efforts to effectively inform the global and Turkish public about key developments worldwide.
Gungen, for his part, highlighted the "strong historical friendship and solidarity" between the two nations, seeing the centenary as an opportunity to deepen ties.
The ambassador expressed enthusiasm about the increasing close contacts between Turkish and Japanese media organizations, emphasizing the significance of Karagoz's visit in this regard.
Karagoz also presented Gungen The Evidence, a book published by Anadolu documenting Israeli actions and rights violations in the Gaza Strip, along with the news agency's 2023 yearbook showcasing significant events of the year.
