Anadolu chairman holds talks in Tokyo with Kyodo News president
Serdar Karagoz currently in Japan for Association of Asia-Pacific News Agencies conference, organized by Kyodo News, slated for Thursday

TOKYO (AA) - Anadolu Director General and Chairman Serdar Karagoz on Wednesday met in Tokyo with Toru Mizutani, the president of Japan’s Kyodo News.
Karagoz is currently in Tokyo for the Association of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) 52nd General Assembly and Conference, organized by Kyodo News, slated for Thursday.
During their meeting at Kyodo News Headquarters in the capital, Karagoz briefed Mizutani on Anadolu's global news operations, stressing the agency's dynamic network of reporters in the world's most volatile conflict zones and hotspots.
"Anadolu, with its trustworthy journalism, continues to reach hotspots that many other organizations cannot access and to report developments to the world," he said.
Karagoz emphasized Anadolu's extensive coverage and production of numerous stories focusing on the Gaza issue, which has made headlines for months, thanks to its photojournalists and reporting team on the ground.
About the agency's diverse coverage, ranging from humanitarian issues to security matters, he emphasized Anadolu's commitment to reaching inaccessible areas and covering developments worldwide with its trustworthy journalism.
Expressing pleasure with Karagoz's visit, Mizutani stressed the importance of inter-agency collaboration and exchanges of views.
During the meeting, Karagoz presented Mizutani with a copy of Anadolu’s 2023 Almanac, a yearbook that chronologically highlights memorable events of 2023 in Türkiye and around the world, from politics and the arts to the economy, sports, life, culture, science, health, and conflicts.
