Sponsored by Turkish defense company ROKETSAN and Sony, the competition showcases 140 remarkable photos taken by Anadolu photojournalists, reflecting significant events from Türkiye and around the globe.
The photos were selected by Anadolu editors from over 1 million images captured worldwide, including in Türkiye, the US, Pakistan, Ukraine, Gaza, Iceland, Peru, and Kenya.
Each photo is accompanied by captions in both Turkish and English, and the contest is open to global participation.
A new category this year, "Free Syria," highlights 21 photos documenting the aftermath of the collapse of Syria's 61-year Baath regime and the fall of the Assad family rule.
The main categories of the contest include:
Natural Life and Environment (24 photos), Daily Life (26 photos), News (41 photos), and Sports (28 photos).
Participants can vote for as many photos as they wish.
Since its inception in 2012, the contest has attracted hundreds of thousands of voters, including prominent figures such as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, ministers, politicians, athletes, artists, and people from various backgrounds.
Last year, the contest saw 869,591 voters participating.
