SARAJEVO (AA) - Anadolu's Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian-Montenegrin (BHSC) service, launched on March 11, 2012, is celebrating its 13th anniversary.
Established in Sarajevo with the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's then-presidency Member Bakir Izetbegovic and Türkiye’s then-Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, the service has become a key example of Anadolu’s multilingual expansion, aligning with Türkiye’s growing global influence.
In the past 13 years, BHSC has grown into a trusted news source for media organizations and the public in the Balkans, closely covering regional and international developments.
The service has reported on major regional and international events, including Ban Ki-moon’s 2012 visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia’s EU accession in 2013 and the discovery of the Balkans' largest mass grave that same year.
It also covered Bosnia’s first census in 22 years, the 2014 floods in Bosnia and Serbia, large-scale protests in Bosnia and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama’s visit to Serbia.
The service also extensively covered visits by world leaders, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Pope Francis.
Additionally, it provided in-depth coverage of the refugee crisis, the coronavirus pandemic and the 2023 Türkiye earthquakes, highlighting rescue operations and aid efforts from the Balkans.
Beyond breaking news, BHSC has produced human-interest stories, bringing inspiring narratives to readers.
Originally launched as "BHS," the service was renamed "BHSC" three years ago with the inclusion of Montenegrin.
