Annual inflation in July at 2% in eurozone, 2.4% in EU
Highest inflation rates this July seen in Romania, Estonia, and Slovakia in July

ISTANBUL (AA) - Annual inflation in the euro area was at 2% versus 2.4% for the EU in July, official figures from Eurostat said on Wednesday.
Eurostat said the highest contribution to annual euro area inflation rate came from services, followed by food, alcohol and tobacco, and non-energy industrial goods.
Compared with June 2025, annual inflation fell in eight member states, remained stable in six, and rose in 13, Eurostat said.
The lowest annual rates were in the Greek Cypriot Administration with 0.1%, France with 0.9%, and Ireland with 1.6%.
The highest annual rates were in Romania (6.6%), Estonia (5.6%), and Slovakia (4.6%).
The eurozone/euro area, or EA20, represents member states that use the EU's single currency, the euro.
