NEW DELHI (AA) - Diplomats from several Arab nations Tuesday visited the Palestinian Embassy in the Indian capital New Delhi to express solidarity on the eve of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People being observed on Wednesday.

Diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Qatar met with the Palestinian ambassador at the mission.

Jordan's ambassador to India, Mohamed Salam Jameel AF El Kayed, said the message given through the event was that all Arab countries are united to support the people of Palestine.

Qatar said its diplomat participated in the event held by the Arab League mission to New Delhi at the Palestine mission on Tuesday.

Israel launched a massive military campaign in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border surprise attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.

It has since killed more than 15,000 Palestinians, including 6,150 children and more than 4,000 women, according to health authorities in the enclave.

The official Israeli death toll stands at 1,200.

In 1977, the UN General Assembly declared Nov. 29 as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
