Armenia to hold joint military exercise with US military

EAGLE PARTNER 2023 to be held in Armenia on Sept. 11-20, says Armenian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW (AA) - Armenia on Wednesday announced it will hold EAGLE PARTNER 2023, a joint military exercise with the US, next week.

"In the framework of preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions the Armenia-U.S. joint exercise EAGLE PARTNER 2023 will be held from 11 to 20 September in Armenia," the Defense Ministry said in a statement on its website.

The exercises are aimed at increasing the readiness of the Armenian unit for the NATO-led Partnership for Peace program and evaluation of the Operational Capabilities Concept.

The drills are also meant to improve interoperability of troops taking part in international peacekeeping missions and to exchange best practices in control and tactical communication.
