Armenian foreign minister holds talks in Qatar
Ararat Mirzoyan meets Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, head of Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Sunday met his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani in Doha.
"Started my official visit to Qatar meeting w/PM, FM @MBA_AlThani_. Glad to continue political dialogue & efforts to boost bilat coop in key areas of mutual interest,” Mirzoyan said on X after the meeting.
“Regional interconnectivity & economic development is priority. Briefed on Armenia’s efforts aimed at peace in #SouthCaucasus.”
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mirzoyan expressed satisfaction with the evolving high-level political dialogue between the two countries, and said Armenia is ready to expand the bilateral agenda through joint efforts.
He said after Qatar's decision to open an embassy in Yerevan in 2023, Armenia has also decided to open a resident embassy in the Gulf country.
Mirzoyan also presented Armenia's Crossroads of Peace project, arguing that it presents an opportunity for developing infrastructure that connects Gulf countries with the Black Sea, enhancing regional connectivity.
According to the official Qatar News Agency, Mirzoyan handed Sheikh Mohamed a written message from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on bilateral relations for Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
Also, Mirzoyan met on Monday speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, and discussed ties with Arab countries as well as regional issues.
