Asian stocks mixed at Tuesday’s close

ANKARA (AA) - Major Asian stock markets closed Tuesday mixed after China cut two more key lending rates for the first time in 10 months.

The People’s Bank of China on Tuesday slashed one-year and five-year loan prime rates by 10 basis points each to 3.55% and 4.20%, respectively.

The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, fell 0.23% to 3,620 points as of 1010GMT.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 rose 0.06% to close at 33,388 points.

Japan's industrial production ticked up 0.7% month-on-month in April, after a downwardly revised 0.3% hike in the previous month.

The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong exchange, dove 1.54% to reach 19,607 points, extending losses from the prior session.

The annual inflation rate in Hong Kong slightly eased to 2% in May from 2.1% in April, according to data released on Tuesday.

China's Shanghai Stock Exchange slipped 0.47% to 3,240 points.

India's Sensex index gained 0.42% to close at 63,430, while the Singapore index was down by 0.65% to end the day at 3,220 points.
