Israeli bombardment targets several areas across Gaza Strip

GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - At least 10 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli bombardment in several areas across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources on Wednesday.
Israeli artillery shelling targeted several areas in Rafah in southern Gaza, killing at least 10 people, the sources said.
Several houses were blown up in the Saudi neighborhood in western Rafah.
Israeli forces also shelled several targets east of the Bureij refugee camp and Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to witnesses.
Fatalities were reported in Israeli airstrikes targeting two houses in al-Tuffah and al-Daraj neighborhoods, east of Gaza City, witnesses said.
Israeli forces carried out a limited incursion east of Khuza’a town in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to an Anadolu reporter.
Israel, flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7, 2023 attack by Palestinian group Hamas.
More than 37,600 Palestinians have since been killed in Gaza, most of them women and children, and more than 86,000 others injured, according to local health authorities.
Over eight months into the Israeli war, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where over a million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
