At least 10 killed in Israeli airstrike on Gaza refugee camp
Attack targets group of children playing in Maghazi refugee camp, witnesses say

GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - At least 10 Palestinians were killed when Israeli warplanes struck a group of children at a refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to local medical sources.
Fighter jets targeted an area where children had gathered in the Maghazi refugee camp, eyewitnesses said.
“Most of the victims were children who were playing with toys,” an eyewitness told Anadolu.
The attack was the latest in a deadly Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip that killed more than 33,800 people since last October following a Hamas attack, which claimed 1,200 lives.
Israel has since imposed a crippling blockade on the seaside enclave, leaving its population, particularly residents of northern Gaza, on the verge of starvation.
The Israeli war has pushed 85% of Gaza’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while much of the enclave's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.
Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which in January issued an interim ruling that ordered it to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
