‘Once again, innocent civilians pay highest price,’ says Josep Borrell

ATHENS (AA) – The Israeli attack on the Al-Ahli Arabi Baptist hospital in northern Gaza is a “tragedy unfolding before our eyes,” the EU foreign policy chief said on Tuesday.

“Once again, innocent civilians pay the highest price,” Josep Borrell said on X.

“The responsibility for this crime must be clearly established & the perpetrators held accountable,” Borrell added.

More than 500 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza on Tuesday, Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told Anadolu.

Footage showed corpses scattered across the hospital grounds.

According to an Anadolu reporter, thousands of Palestinians were at the hospital when the building came under bombardment.
