Iraqi authorities usually blame Daesh for that kind of attacks

BAGHDAD (AA) – Four people, including a policeman, were killed in attacks in Iraq, according to security officials on Wednesday.
Suspected Daesh militants opened fire on a checkpoint manned by federal police forces late Tuesday in al-Dibs district, northwest of Kirkuk, Police Captain Hamid al-Obeidi told Anadolu Agency.
He said one policeman was killed in the attack.
Gunmen also opened fire on a café in northern Baghdad, killing three civilians, Police Captain Hatem al-Jabri said.
Though no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks, Iraqi authorities usually blame the Daesh terrorist group for that kind of attacks.
In the summer of 2014, Daesh overran much of northern and western Iraq.
After a three-year war, the Iraqi government declared late in 2017 that Daesh's military presence in Iraq had been all but ended through operations backed by a U.S.-led international alliance.
