Australia announces new military aid to Ukraine

ISTANBUL (AA) - Australia on Monday announced new military aid package for Ukraine.

“Australia has stood with Ukraine each and every day since Russia's illegal and immoral invasion,” Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said, adding that the new package included “extra 70 military vehicles and more ammunition.”

He said the new military aid worth $73.5 million will make “a real difference on the battlefield.”

“And we'll help the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund provide support like clean water, shelter and health services,” he said.

“The people of Ukraine can count on Australia,” the prime minister added.
