ISTANBUL (AA) - Azerbaijan's president and his Turkish counterpart in a phone call have discussed a joint statement by Baku, Moscow, and Yerevan in Russia's coastal Sochi city, and the launch of Türkiye’s first domestically produced electric car, according to a statement by the Azerbaijani Presidency
“During the phone conversation, they discussed the Sochi meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Armenia and the signed joint statement. (Azerbaijan's) President Ilham Aliyev congratulated (Turkish) President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of the launch of mass production of TOGG,” the statement said on Wednesday.

On Monday, Aliyev, his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan agreed to reaffirm their commitment to a comprehensive normalization of Baku-Yerevan relations, and to ensure peace, stability, security, and sustainable economic development of the South Caucasus after the trilateral talks in Sochi.
During the talks, the leaders agreed to refrain from the use or threat of force, and to discuss and resolve issues “solely on the basis of mutual recognition of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders, in accordance with the UN Charter and the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991,” the joint statement said.
Meanwhile, Türkiye rolled out the country's first domestically produced electric car C-SUV as the country on Saturday celebrated the 99th anniversary of the republic's foundation.
