Baidu launches AI-powered photo editing solution for photography industry

ISTANBUL (AA) - Chinese tech company Baidu unveiled a comprehensive AI-driven solution for the photography industry on Tuesday to boost efficiency and reduce costs for photo studios.

The new offering, integrated into its drive service, includes advanced AI photo-editing capabilities and a one-stop photo management system, Baidu wrote on X.

It allows users to make edits to a specific individual in a picture and automatically apply the adjustments to other images of the same person, it noted.

Baidu's cloud engine powers the system, offering nine advanced portrait analysis capabilities and 86 portrait and image beautification features, according to the China-based AI base website, citing the company. Baidu claims more than 1,000 visual technology patents support the AI retouching process, it added.

The system has already been adopted by several renowned photo studios, serving nearly 100,000 users and retouching approximately 200 million pictures, according to the news site.

The retouching feature caters to different retouching requirements such as high and low-frequency skin smoothing, facial reconstruction, individual and batch adjustments, and teeth whitening.
