BIST 100 flat at Thursday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s benchmark stock index rose slightly by 0.04% or 3.32 points to 8,964.97 points at the opening session on Thursday.

At Wednesday's midweek close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 1.05% to reach 8,945.80 points with a daily transaction volume of 87 billion Turkish liras ($2.73 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 31.9315 as of 10.20 a.m. local time (0720GMT) on Thursday, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.7490, and the GBP/TRY traded at 40.4370.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,293.50, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $89.90.
