BIST 100 up at Thursday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s benchmark stock index rose 0.35% or 31.23 points to 8,941.46 points at the opening session on Thursday.

At Wednesday's midweek close, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 1.78% to reach 8,910.23 points with a daily transaction volume of 91 billion Turkish liras ($2.84 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 32.1250 as of 10.15 a.m. (0715GMT) on Thursday, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.2810, and the GBP/TRY traded at 41.1020.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,167.90, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $84.17.
