BIST 100 up at Thursday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s benchmark stock index rose 0.65% or 56.94 points to 8,863.66 points at the opening session on Thursday.

At Wednesday's midweek close, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 0.01% to reach 8,806.72 points with a daily transaction volume of 85 billion Turkish liras ($2.63 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 32.3125 as of 10.00 am (0700GMT) on Thursday, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.1450, and the GBP/TRY traded at 40.8010.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,198.41, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $86.50.
