ISTANBUL (AA) - Bitcoin on Monday climbed above the $65,000 level for the first time in more than two weeks.
The last time the world's biggest cryptocurrency was above that level was recorded on April 25.
After climbing above the level early Monday, Bitcoin was trading around $64,100 as of 10.03 a.m. EDT (1403GMT) for a daily gain of 0.2%, according to data from CoinMarketCap, a digital asset price-tracking website.
Bitcoin on Wednesday dove below the $57,000 level for the first time in more than two months, which marked the lowest level since Feb. 27.
Ethereum, the world's biggest altcoin by market cap, was down 0.4% to $3,121 then, but some altcoins saw their daily prices gain more than 10%.
The value of the cryptocurrency market stood at $2.36 trillion, while Bitcoin's share of the crypto market, known as dominance, was at 53.3% and Ethereum's dominance was at 15.9%.
The selloff in the cryptocurrency market last week came as investors' demand has waned in Bitcoin since its halving last month, and Binance's former CEO and co-founder was sentenced to four months in prison.
