Blinken says path to Palestinian state can isolate Iran

ISTANBUL (AA) - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made comments Thursday where he said a Palestinian state is the way to isolate and marginalize Iran.

“We have just completed our tenth stop in seven days in the region. We have been focused on a number of key objectives, Blinken said at a news conference at Cairo International Airport, after a regional tour focused on the Palestinian issue. “First, preventing the conflict from spreading; second, getting more humanitarian assistance in to people who need it; three, increasing protection for civilians; four, getting hostages out.”

“That’s the single best way -- Israel’s integration, security, a Palestinian state -- to isolate and marginalize Iran and the kinds of actions it’s taking through its proxies,” he added.
