Bomb attacks target US-led coalition convoys in Iraq
Washington accuses Iran-backed Iraqi groups of being behind attacks against US-led coalition forces in Iraq

BAGHDAD (AA) – Roadside bomb attacks targeted two military convoys for the US-led coalition against the Daesh/ISIS terror group in Iraq on Sunday, according to security officials.
An explosive device exploded as a coalition convoy passed by on the outskirts of Baghdad, a police officer said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.
No injuries or damage were reported.
Another bomb explosion targeted a coalition convoy in the central Babel province another police officer said.
Minor damage was reported to a vehicle in the convoy.
There was no comment from the Iraqi government or the US-led coalition on the attacks.
Earlier Sunday, unidentified people detonated a roadside bomb in the path of a coalition convoy in the southern Dhi Qar province.
In the past weeks, the frequency of attacks targeting US forces and interests occurs almost daily.
Washington accuses Iran-backed Iraqi groups of being behind the attacks against the US-led coalition forces in Iraq, an accusation denied by Tehran.
