Borsa Istanbul down at close

ANKARA (AA) - Istanbul’s BIST 100 shares index slipped 0.22 percent to close at 77,057.77 points Tuesday.

Real estate led the losses with a fall of 1.33 percent during the day.

The Turkish lira rate against the U.S. dollar rose 0.8 percent to 3.0470 at 5.30 p.m. local time (1430GMT).
