Borsa Istanbul down at closing session

ISTANBUL (AA) – The Turkish benchmark stock exchange closed on Thursday at 7,948.60 points, down 0.76% from the previous close.

The index lost 60.73 points from the last close.

Its lowest level was 7,912.02, and its highest was 8,049.28 during the day’s trading.

During the day, 39 indexes gained value while 61 lost.

The total transaction volume reached 88 billion liras ($3.06 billion), while the overall value of index was at 6.77 trillion liras ($234.8 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 28.8530 as of 19.10 (GMT1410), while the EUR/TRY rate was 31.5455 and the GBP/TRY rate was 36.5140.
