Borsa Istanbul down at Tuesday's close

Benchmark BIST 100 index loses 25.3 points

ISTANBUL (AA) – The Turkish benchmark stock index ended at 7,771.30 points on Tuesday, down by 0.33%, or 25.35 points, from the previous close.

The lowest value of Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index during the day was 7,691.26, with the highest at 7,902.95.

The trading saw 49 indexes gaining value, while 51 lost.

The daily transaction volume reached 162 billion Turkish liras ($5.94 billion), while the overall value of the index was 6.56 trillion Turkish liras ($242.1 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 27.1970 as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 29.5060, and the British pound traded at 34.6290 Turkish liras.
