Borsa Istanbul flat at closing session

BIST 100 index up slightly by 5 points

ISTANBUL (AA) — The Turkish benchmark stock index was at 8,218.74 points at close on Thursday, up 0.06% versus the previous close.

The BIST 100 index earned 4.98 points from the last close.

Its lowest level was at 8,187.96 and 8,288.48 was its highest.

During the day, 36 indexes gained value, while 61 declined.

The total transaction volume reached 145.3 billion Turkish liras ($5.3 billion), while the overall value of the index was 6.9 trillion liras ($253.1 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was at 27.4160 as of 18.50 (GMT1550), while the EUR/TRY rate was at 29.0670 and the GBP/TRY rate at 33.4780.
