Borsa Istanbul up at Friday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the day at 3,151.32 points on Friday, up 0.14%, or 4.43 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 1.6% at Thursday's close of 3,146.89 points, with a daily trading volume of 55.2 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.5500 as of 10.15 a.m. local time (0715GMT), while the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate at 18.2070 from 18.0300, and British pound traded for 20.7080 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $87.6 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,681.25.
