Borsa Istanbul up at Friday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,563.59 points on Friday, up 0.27%, or 9.74 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose by 1.5% to end Thursday at 3,536.58 points, with a daily trading volume of 32.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.5920 as of 10.07 a.m. local time (0707GMT), the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.1863, and a British pound traded for 21.7030 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $94.3 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,716.85.
