Boy, 15, arrested after teacher assaulted at school in Wales

LONDON (AA) - A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teacher was injured at a school in Wales, police said Thursday.

Officers were called to the Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Pembrokeshire, South-West of Wales, at about 3.20 pm (1520GMT) after a teacher was reported assaulted by a student brandishing a weapon, the BBC reported, citing Dyfed-Powys Police.

"The teacher's injury is not a stab injury. A lockdown was implemented but has now been lifted," said Superintendent Chris Neve.

He added that the teacher is receiving medical treatment for the injuries.

The Pembrokeshire Council said most students had left the school and confirmed that police officers remained on site.
