Brazil's producer inflation falls 0.82% in July

ISTANBUL (AA) – Brazil's producer price index fell 0.82% month-on-month in July, according to official data released on Wednesday.

The market expectation for the index was to show a decline of 2.99% in July. Producer prices decreased 2.72% in June from the month before.

A total of 16 sectors out of 24 saw a drop in prices, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) said in a report.

On an annual basis, producer prices fell 1.01% in July compared to the same month of last year.
