Brazil's producer inflation rises 1.11% in September

Annually producer prices down 1.89%, according to official figures

ISTANBUL (AA) — Brazil's producer price index rose 1.11% in September on a monthly basis, according to official data released on Thursday.

A total of 13 sectors out of 24 saw gains in prices, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) said in a report.

The largest monthly increases were recorded in oil refining and biofuels with 8.28%, followed by extractive industries at 3.86% and printing at 1.78%, it said.

The producer price index in August showed an increase of 0.92% month-on-month.

On an annual basis, however, producer prices were down 1.89% in September, compared to the same month of last year.
