Car accident injures multiple people in German capital

BERLIN (AA) - A car crashed into a group of pedestrians in Berlin's northern district of Wedding on Thursday, injuring multiple people, including children.

According to local media reports, the incident occurred around midday when a BMW swerved into a crowd at an intersection where several groups of children were present. Authorities said the incident was an accident rather than a deliberate attack.

A caretaker sustained serious injuries, while several children suffered minor injuries, according to initial reports. Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene, which police have cordoned off as the investigation continues.
